Before approaching, establish some rapport by giving them a smile and nod earlier in the evening. Do not stare, but give a glance long enough to establish eye contact. Once a non-verbal connection has been established and the time is right, approach and talk to them in a friendly manner.

Nothing is more attractive the confidence. You have to be confident and know that you have something to offer any woman. This takes time and practice. You also need to remember that the stakes are not really that high; there are many women in the world, and if a particular one does not work out, there will be another.
