Is a DD-215 form an honorable discharge?

A DD-215 is not a discharge form. It is used to correct or make additions to other discharge forms, primarily the DD-214. It is possible that a DD-215 might be used to convert a dishonorable discharge to an honorable one by amending a DD-214.

A DD-215 is NOT an honorable discharge, rather it is an explanation of your discharge from military service. The DD-215 lists type of discharge, schools attended, and other pertinent information.

A DD-215 is NOT an explanation of your discharge from military service.It is a correction form for the DD-214.You must submit supporting docs to HRC along with a copy of your 214 in order to have corrections made. add a comment
