What is the red brownish mark below my ankle, that has been there for some time?

its about an inch big and its like a blemish

The mark on your ankle is likely a spider bite. Certain types of spider bites are known to produce a redish brown discoloration to the skin and the effect can stay for may weeks.

i live in the scotland where no one i know even knows someone whose been bit by a spider in this country ,the mark i have has been on my ankle below the bone for about three months its a kind of blotch ,thank for your help anyway. add a comment

Without actually having seen the brownish blemish, my best guess is that it is either a birth mark or an enlarged freckle or mole. If you are concerned about it you can visit a dermatologist who will use a highly specialized magnifying glass to look at the spot.
