Is it possible for a guppy to be constipated, for the past couple of days I have noticed a slight bulging and after the poo I noticed the area was slightly reddish and could see a few red veins where the gravid spot is located.

A guppy 4 months old in a tank with several other guppies,in the past couple of days bottom area are slightly bulging, I noticed when had a poo it was really thick and brownish looking, after the poo I noticed the area was slightly reddish and could see a few red veins where the gravid spot is located.

Fish can easily become constipated, so it is certainly possible. To remedy this situation, first "fast" the fish for one day - don't give it any food. In many cases this will ease the constipation, but if fasting doesn't work you can feed your fish the inside of a cooked pea, which will help move the waste along.

Yes, it's certainly possible. However, the fish could be sick with something else. It's hard to tell exactly, and difficult to treat fish diseases.
