At temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, water is a solid (ice). At temperatures above 212 degrees Fahrenheit, water is a gas (steam). At temperatures between 32 and 212 degrees Fahrenheit, water is a liquid (water). So, the three states of water are solid, liquid and gas.

Well there's several ways to answer this, the three states of water are solid (ice), liquid (water), and gas (vapor). From solid to liquid would be called melting, liquid to solid is freezing, liquid to gas would be evaporating, and gas to liquid would be condensing. These strongly effect the cycle of rain.

Water can be liquid water, ice, and steam (water vapor). These change with the temperature of the water. There are no other states that water can have. If below zero degrees Celsius, it is solid (ice). Between zero and 100 degrees, it is water (liquid). And above 100 degrees, it is gas (steam).
