What are some good baseball stretching exercises?

I will be coaching little league for the first time this year and need some ideas for stretching exercises.

All of your basic stretches will work for kids in little league. Make sure they stretch their legs and their arms. It is important for them to play catch to warm up their arms and then maybe take a lap around the field to warm up their whole body.

As a person who actually was injured as a result of bad stretching I would encourage your players to stretch often. I would suggest that your team makes it a habit to stretch out their elbows and forearms especially. Legs should also be addressed but are not as important at that age, mainly just calfs and hamstrings.

First have the kids do high knees and jog back and forth to warm up. Then have them roll their necks to loosen them. Next, arm circles to really stretch out their shoulders. Then have them do straight leg toe touches, then have them spread their legs and go down to the right, then left and then down the middle.

Definitely have them get down on their knees and play short toss catch. Tell them to use their hips more than their arms because protecting their arm is the best thing for them at that age. Also, make sure to make stretching fun because kids that young will skip it because they don't understand the importance of it.
