My dog has diarrhea and coughing, what should I do?

Take your dog to the vet as it could be seriously ill. If there is blood in the stool it may have a parasite or it could have something lodged. The coughing could be that the dog is trying to vomit up whatever is making it sick.

Do not feed the dog anything for 24 hours. Make sure you have plenty of fresh water. If the dog does not drink or drinks excessively he probably has something logged in the throat or stomach. Take him to the vet after the 24 hours if the dog is not somewhat back to normal.

If your dog has these symptoms, then you should take it to the veterinarian as soon as possible. They can determine what is wrong and the proper treatment.

Diarrhea should clear up with in 24 hours if your dog has eaten something that it shouldn't have. If not take them to the vet immediately, they probably have an infection. Dogs are known to get kennel cough from other dogs. This can be cured with antibiotics from the vet.
