This is a health issue best treated by your vet. This may be due to pneumonia, a bacterial infection, a fungal infection, or even a problem with a parasite such as lung worms. Your vet can diagnose and prescribe treatment as needed.

I would take your Dog into the Vet ASAP. Dogs Coughing up anything is a worry as they are very hardy animals. In between now and the vet , try a steam bath in the bathroom. Put the Dog on the bathroom floor. Turn on hot water. Open curtain 1/4th of the way and let the steam be breathed in.

It's probably just a case of kennel cough. It's not really not a huge concern unless your dog is a puppy or an older adult. Kennel Cough can last to about a week and doesn't need to be treated. If symptoms get worse then it's recommended to take your animal to the vet.

It might be wise to give your dog a cough suppressant/expectorant. To do this you would want to follow the dosing instructions for a child.
