Genereal Beauregard Lee is the groundhog who has recieved honorary documents from the University of GA. He has been the groundhog who has been predicting the time when winter ends and spring begins for over 14 years. He has only had one major miss since he started to do the predicting.

The groundhog in question lives in puxatony Pennsylvania and his name is 'Puxatony Phil'. February 2nd, 1886 was the first ever official groundhog day.
