A good home remedy is hot pepper spray. Grind up peppers and soak in water for a day or so. Strain and spray the area once a week. No groundhogs!

Moth balls is are good for that along with cayenne pepper that can be used from preventing the animals from eating bird food.

Moth balls in their tunnels usually will keep them away. You have to put the moth balls in each tunnel you see until they eventually leave your property. This might take a little effort on your part until the job is finally done.

Dogs and other animals are the best deterrent for groundhogs as they are not easily taken out of an area. You can smoke them too.
