Ophthalmologist test eyes with aid of computers and trial and error for distant reading. If you tell him that you cannot read properly, they will try with more powerful glass and then prescribe for the glasses. Go to your ophthalmologist and ask him whether the glasses are as per prescription.

I can't see with my new glasses maybe because my old power was different with the new one. So i will feel dizziness whenever i wear my new glasses until i get used to it.
