The two most obvious reasons are that either you or your partner are sterile. There is also the possibility that it is not in God's plan for you to have a child right now. Beyond that, there are several medical conditions that could be at hand, but have your partner check his sperm count first.

There are many, many reasons for not getting pregnant. If you have been trying for 6 months and have not gotten pregnant, you should go see your gynecologist. You could have any of the following if it has been that long: endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, blocked tubes, or many others. The problem could also be the male partner.

Either female or male factors can contribute to infertility. You may not be releasing an egg, or your partner may not be making sufficient sperm. It is also possible that you need supplemental hormones like progestone.

There can be a number of reasons from infertility to a tipped uterus to low sperm count in your partner. If you are trying to get pregnant and can't it might be a good idea to talk to a doctor, find out the cause, and explore your options under the guidance of a trained medical professional.
