What can I do to unblock a fallopian tube?

Fallopian tubes become blocked for many reasons, usually due to scarring and some develop that way. Most of the time there isn't anything you can do to unblock a fallopian tube. There may be some new surgery or procedure out there, but nothing that I am aware of. Of course it never hurts to look.

It depends upon the cause of the blockage, and you need to discuss this with your doctor or an fertility specialist. Depending on the nature of the blockage, surgery may help, but it is also possible that nothing can be done to open it. If that is the case, you might still be a candidate for in vitro fertilization.
