Which way does the Nile River flow?

Answer by  carol (1241)

The Nile River flows from south to north through Africa on to Egypt. So the Nile River flows upwards along its journey until it finally reaches the Mediterranean sea in Egypt.

it's not "upwards," it only looks that way because of the conventions of the map you are using. The Nile flows downhill the entire way.  add a comment

It flows towards the sea like all rivers. This could be either up down or sideways depending on the map you are looking at.

The Nile River flows from South to North. It begins in Lake Victoria, situated between Uganda and Zaire. It flows upwards and eventually empties out into the Mediterranean Sea.
