the state with the most earthquakes is Alaska with 12053 quakes from 74-03, followed not so closely by California with 4895, in third place is hawaii with 1533, then nevada with 778, then washington with 424, Idaho with 404, wyoming with 217, montana with 186, utah 139, oregon 73. thank you

Out of the United States, the state of California has the most earthquakes per year and over all. This is because the state of California lies on several fault lines.
