What should I know about my air conditioner's vent temperature?

What is too hot or too cold?

A very good question, but one that varies by your AC type, so it could be considered "broad". I would suggest that you either consult your local Hvac Reapir man, or if you've still got it consult the user manual that came with your particular unit, model. Best of Luck.

Thanks for the useless answer. Why bother replying at all? If people wanted to use a professional, they wouldn't have posted a question here.  add a comment

An air conditioning system that is properly sized should be able to achieve a 20-25 degree F temperature difference between the return air temperature and the supply air temperature at the register. ARI standards compel manufacturers to produce air cooled units that will provide 60 degree air when the return air is 85 degrees.
