There could be a number of reasons why your air condition is not functioning. First off, what's the ambient temperature? Most cars, even brand new, have trouble cooling air to normal A/C temperatures when they're sitting still. Secondly, is your car overheating at a stop? That could cause your symptoms. Have the A/C freon checked.

First of all be sure to double check that the AC or Max AC button is actually on. If it is turned on and the car is running, then you may just need to recharge the Air conditioner. Buy a can of freon and go to you local repair shop and it should be taken care of rather quickly.

With the shifter in Park, rev the engine to around 1500 rpms and check the temperature coming out of the vent. If it gets cold it means your AC system needs to be recharged. Take your Jeep to a professional repair facility so they can make a proper diagnosis and check for leaks with an ultraviolet light.

It could be alot of reasons a jeep liberty does not blow cold air. If the jeep is not moving It does not have an electric blower so it only blows when the car is moving. The jeep was originally used only by the military. Without a automatic blower it elminated a lot of sound.
