What does it mean if my air conditioner is running but not cooling?

A couple of possible causes are that the compressor does not have enough refrigerant or that the compressor itself is not working. A qualified technician should be able to check the system for any coolant leaks and recharge as needed or diagnose a compressor problem.

The condenser may be dirty or clogged causing a higher pressure. Please use power washer to clean the coil and make sure the unit is off. You could also be low on refrigerant due to leak which needs to be repaired before you add refrigerant. Leak checking and adding Freon has to be done by a certified tech.

This could be due to a couple of different reasons. You may need to have your freon recharged. If your freon is low it won't blow cool air. The other issue may be a faulty compressor. If your compressor isn't working your air conditioner will still blow room temperature air but it won't blow cold air.

That can mean several things; unit is to small, compressor's failed, your refrigerant level is too low, outdoor fan has failed...
