How cold should the air be coming out of my air conditioning vents?

There's air moving out of the vents but it is barely cool.

The air from your supply vents should be approximately 20 degrees cooler than the air entering your return air grill. If it's 90 in the house, the supply will be around 70. When the house gets to 80 inside, the supply air will be around 60 degrees.

Your system removes heat and humidity. The humidity removal will take priority due to the physics involved. The more humid the indoor air, the less temperature difference. 20 degrees difference @ 50% indoor relative humidity, possibly as low as 13 degrees at higher RH. Up to 23 in lower RH.

If it's not noticeably cool that means your AC unit isn't working right, you're either low on freon or you've got a similar electrical malfunction. In general, if it's not cool to the touch somethings wrong.
