I have found that the best thing for me, is to ice my leg after taking a run or long walk. I also take 2 Aleve before I go for a run. This seems to help to keep the pain level down to something that I can handle. If it keeps up see your doctor.

Runners inner knee pain can be treated in a variety of ways, the one that I find most effective is the use of ice pack before I set out on my run, and a hot compress after running.

A doctor may want to get an X-ray to see if there are any bone spurs, which can cause the knee pain. There may also be damage to the cartilage on the joint, which can be relieved with a knee brace and rest. Intermittent ice and heat can also help to reduce pain and swelling.

This might be a sign of an ACL or MCL injury. You should consult with a sports doctor to make sure you are not seriously injured.
