The Jewish Publication Society Tanach (JPS Tanakh) uses more "modern English" and is generally used by more modern Jewish sects, like the Reform movement. The Stone Tanach by ArtScroll takes provides a more traditional translation and is generally used by Orthodox and Ultra-Orthodox movements. Both are well-respected versions.

It's just a matter of taste, really: they are two different(but both good)translations of the Tanakh or Tanach. Some might prefer one, and some the other.

The Stone Tanakh published by Artscroll bases its translations in part on traditional commentaries such as Rashi. The JPS Tanakh reflects modern critical scholarship -- archaeology, linguitics, etc.

Tanakh, or "divine one" in Mengalese, is worshipped either as a stone figure or as a Jewish-Protestant Secret (JPS) Society.
