Could kidney stones be causing my right side in the back to feel like it is asleep?

I have had several kidney stones and wonder if another is coming.

Kidney stones can cause many problems, especially pain and even numbness in the back and sides. If you have had kidney stones before, you have a high likely hood of getting them again. Drinking proper amounts of water can help prevent kidney stones from reappearing.

My own experience with Kidney stones would lead me to answer "No". My back hurt a lot when I had stones, and I never felt any sort of numbness there. I would highly suggest consulting with your general practitioner doctor. It sounds like there might either be some nerve damage or something else affecting your nerves.

Yes, Kidney stones can cause several discomforts like pain of the back and diffculty in urinating. Kidney stones are formed through the accumulated crytals that is filtered by the Kidneys. Kidney stones block the flow of waste products such as urine that's why a person has also a pain while urinating.

With kidney stones you get pain which is bad. A small kidney stone there is often no symptoms and it is passed. They do affect your back if it feels numb but with a pain accompanying the numbness, there is no way you can tell if you will get another stone, but they can cause kidney damage.
