The MLB outfield is measured from the edge of the Infield playing area to the outfield walls. As MLB fields have different wall dimensions, the resulting outfield area will be unique to each playing field.

Yes, I do know that is true. What I would like to know is... Where can I find out what the actual measured outfield area is for each of the MLB fields in use today. That information must be out there somewhere. Do they want it to be a secret? add a comment
The size of a major league outfield will and does vary from venue to venue, Each ball park is unique in its dimensions starting from the length down the foul lines to dead center. Outfield walls can have indentions or projections all changing the total area of play
Every MLB park has different outfield dimensions. The Houston Astros' stadium is 436 feet to centerfield, but Fenway Park in Boston is 390 feet to centerfield. Others are in between.

Do you not understand the difference between distance (how far to centerfield) and total area.. how many square feet in are there in the whole outfield? add a comment
there different because of the dimensions in boston right field its like 286ft basically a popout could go out the yard as in shea stadium its 314ft big difference from a homerun & a popup
