Preeclampsia is a condition in pregnant women that is comprised of 3 main factors- elevated blood pressures, elevated levels of protein in urine and generalized edema (swelling). It mainly occurs in second-third trimester and can become dangerous for woman and her fetus. If blood pressure rises, 24 hour urine collection is done to check the levels of protein and diagnose.
