Risks are many. You need to take alot into consideration dues to age. You could have a child with a disability, you could get sick, will you have the strength to take care of a toddler to adult. Be involved in his activities. Are you a stay at home mom.

Preterm hypertension or high blood pressure is a common risk to older women. Also Pregnancy induced diabetes is another unfortunate evnt that can happen. This prediposes you to diabetes after the baby is born putting you more at risk.

The risk of genetic defects like Down Syndrome are high for the baby. The risks of preeclampsia, prenatal diabetes, and early term labor are also very high for this age.

Anyone of advanced age that becomes pregnant has a higher risk of miscarriage and their child having a deformity as a result of the advanced age of the mother. It is suggested that extensive testing is performed on the mom and child.
