Is it common to develop high blood pressure when you have a second degree burn?

My husband has never had high blood pressure, but now that he is injured it has gone up.

Yes, it is possible when a person is in pain it tends to raise when there is some sort of trauma to the body. Pain can cause it to raise. This is normal after a trauma to the body.

It is completely normal for blood pressure to go up with any kind of emotional or physical distress. When pain is involved it is extremely normal. Once his healing process is well underway and the pain involved is gone his blood pressure should go back to normal.
