A common no-sew blanket is made from two pieces of fleece cut to the same size. A one inch wide, three inch deep fringe is cut out of each side on both squares and the two pieces are knotted together by pairing up each fringe. This makes the blanket double layered.

You need 2 1/2 yards of fleece. One for the top and one for the bottom. Lay the pieces on top of each other face side up. Pattern on top, plain the bottom. Cut a 3 inch strip every 2 inches around the material. You will tie these two pieces together in a knot, all around the blanket.
