One person suggests a mix of Alfalfa, Buchu, Dandelion, Echinacea, Garlic, Rosehips, Uva Ursi and Yarrow as well as the Bach Flowers Wild Rose for kidney weakened dogs. But Omega 3 fatty acids from sea fish have been shown to help in clinical trials. And Vitamin E and B-complex and vitamin C are also recommended because these dogs tend need the extra vitamins in their diet.

Use Garlic as natural antibiotic. Echinacea for infection residue, Roseships as kidney tonic with a high source of Iron and Vitamin C. Buchu for UTI, Alfalfa for urine acidity, Uva Ursi for healing of mucosal linings. Yarrow as a blood and nervous system tonic for vitality. Herbal treatments are good for kidney weakness with chronic infective incontinence also.

The best formula for a canine with kidney failure, disease or dysfunction is a product called Renal Support by Standard Process. It comes in powder form, in a 30gm or a 110 gm size, and is available through your veterinarian.
