When trying to cover gray hair it is best to use a permanent hair dye as it will provide you with better coverage and longer lasting results. As for color, anything golden blond to light golden brown will work great. You should avoid using any of the ash tones as it will give your gray hair a slightly green tinge.

Depending on your skin tone, but try to have a chestnut brown to give you a highlight effect for those gray hairs and your blond hairs will turn into somewhat dark brown.

A good hair color for someone who has gray and blond hair should select a darker golden blonde or golden light brown. Applying tint over tint does'nt give good appearance. Keeping your hair very dark will show your gray roots very soon so chose a lighter, softer hair color.
