You have to leave out carbohydrates as much as you can while on the abs diet and eat a lot of protein and good fats like olive oil, nuts etc. Eat things like grilled chicken with steamed vegetables and salad.

Abs are maintained by working the abdominal muscles. Just eating certain types of food will not give you flat abs. To get a flatter abtominal region, excercise and portion your foods. Portions are more important than eating a specific type of food. Eat organic whole grains and it will keep you full longer than processed boxed foods.
