Torx wrenches are used to screw and unscrew torx fittings. Torx fittings are used because they are hard to strip due to their six point configuration.

TORX is the star type head used in many cars seatbels and many other assemblies. its another tool you will have to purchase to work on newer cars. they have a better reuse rate then typical phillips head screws, its very hard to damage the TORX head when using the correct tool to remove them
