Wagtails, or birds belonging to the Genus Motacilla, are insect-eating, ground-dwelling, and frequently quite colorful. They exhibit a distinctive tail-wagging, which earned them their common name. Different species of Wagtails are found throughout Europe, Asia and Africa, with several related species occuring in Australia and Japan. They make their nests on the ground, hatching up to 6 speckled eggs.
