The main reason the consumer has to be aware is that certain automobiles are specifcally designed to take a certain type of oil and gas. Sometimes if you use a different kind or one of a lesser grade it can actually damage the components of your engine and other vital parts. Always follow the manufacturers instruction.

Cars that require high quality gas are very sensitive. If the low grade gas is used all the time, the catalytic converter can go. This could possible cause a fire.
