A hybrid car has significantly more torque and acceleration that you'll have to get used to. Also it's very quiet which can be dangerous in traffic.

They main drawback is that the can be more costly to maintain do to the more sophisticated parts. The are also main meant to be used for city driving and the highway mileage and comfort can reflect this.
