Glucose is a type of sugar that moves throughout the bloodstream. It is part of carbohydrate foods and is regulated by insulin produced by the pancreas. The normal levels are between 70 and 150 mg. The level is usually lower in the morning and increases when you eat. Consistent levels above 150 may indicate hyperglycemia, below 70 may be hypoglycemia.
