You could delete the program and then install a different virus program to try and clean the rest of the hard drive.

Well, reading your problem there are only a few options I can think of. 1. You can hire a professional to try to get rid of the virus, though there is no guarantee that will work and you will spend a lot of money. Or, you can back up your important files and flatten your hard drive.

There are really only two options. One would be to completely wipe your hard drive disc and start over by using the install discs your computer cam with. The other would be to bring it into a professional computer repair shop as they would have the correct tools to remove the viruses.

You could try to install another anti virus tool to your computer. However, if the situation is that bad, it is better to format the hard drive and reinstall all.

Use a different antivirus program. Norton is a memory hog, and often does not do the job. Try Grisoft AVG Free. It uses very little memory, updates automatically, and scans very efficiently. It has found viruses for me that Norton or McCaffee could not find. The website is free. grisoft. com.

You must reinstall Norton Antivirus. If you are installing from disk, your installation will be clean. If downloading for installation, check the download source for a checksum provision to check the cleanliness of your download. Microsoft offers Windows Defender for free. Maintain your firewall, updates and stop talking to strangers.
