As long as you know that it works it could be a great purchase for the right price. There isn't too many of them left out there and will soon become a collectors item. There is also some very interesting games on that console as well.

Considering the Sega Genesis has not been manfactured for some time, you have no choice but to buy a used one. You could ask to test out your neighbor's Genesis.

You aren't going to find a Sega Genesis that is new and unused. The console has been out of production for a long time now, so if it's in good condition then you should buy it as it may be worth quite a bit in the future.

If you have old cartridges or you are nostalgic and like have original things it is a good idea, but before buying you should check it it works properly.
