The most important thing would be to increase the isolation efficiency of the house, especially the granary, if you could. Also, make sure to keep the screen or the curtains closed. Also, try to keep as much lights closed, same for electrical appliances turned off as all of those generate heat.

Close the blinds at night and leave them closed until the sun goes down. When your room gets warm, everything in it gets warm, the walls, furniture, everything. So keep the heat out and you'll have less to remove by running your AC unit.

First thing you should do is invest in some good blinds and curtains. There are curtains made to keep the heat out. Then invest about 10 to 15 dollars in an oscillating fan. They are very inexpensive, and they work beautifully. They make great fans that are energy saving and you'll be able to set the AC higher.

You could get a fan that moves back and forth. The blowing air will make you feel cool. If you have windows you could get some heavy curtains that block out the sun and heat. It will be dark but your room will be cool.

just keep the windows open so fresh air could be in the room and not have the room be all warm and whatever. it definately saves lots of money and save costs of air condition.
