It depends on where you are getting the iPod from. If it is directly from Apple or from someone you know is good at refurbing iPods then I would.

Yes, there are some great deal on and right now for refurbished ipods. Now, you can buy an ipod that is refurbished for alittle more than 100 dollars. Not only is it a porfit gain for you, some ipods even have songs and movies, and most sellers dont even think about increasing the price because of it.

Usually its a good deal they double check everything by hand just because it went bad and they didnt want anything else going wrong with it.

Purchasing a refurbished iPod is a good idea. A brand new iPod has a limited life span and is almost built to self destruct within a short period of time. Therefore, the value of a refurbished iPod is high.

As long as it is a certified refurbished ipod from Apple then go for it. I have bought several refurbished mp3 players before and never had a serious issue with any of them. I assume Apple would have the same quality also.
