Is it a good idea to put a ravenea palm in my yard?

Well, yes why not but the danger is you may attract some bugs which is fairly common. You can counter that with raid.

yes a Majesty Palm also called a ravnea palm are attractive palm plant they do have limits to weather according to geographic location plant may need more care.

It really depends where you live. This plant prefers a certian kind of environment. Remember this is a tropical plant. The best thing to ask your self is, "how tropical are conditions in my yard?" If you live in a dry area, chances are this plant will wither and die.

It depends on where you live. This tree has a fairly good survival rate in the 7-9 zones. It can survive brief freezes as well.

Absolutely not. This palm tree produces huge fronds that fall periodically. The main problem, aside from the size is how tough to cut they are. They really are too big to be handled any other way.

Raveneas need a fairly warm cimate to thrive. They do well in shady areas, but the soil needs to be constantly kept moist and fertilized for the tree to flourish.
