Is a Singstar microphone safe for 6-year-olds?

It would make a great birthday gift. I think that with the right supervision it would make a great gift for a six year old, or a child of any age above four who is into singing. Make sure the child is old enough to understand the toy before you purchase it as a gift.

The Singstar microphone says it is for singers of all ages but it is rated for children ages 10 and over. They do however offer parental controls so that if the game system is connected to the internet parents can limit or prevent children from purchasing downloadable music from the internet.
