The best idea is to find out what the average is in your area for that position at comparable companies with the one you are interviewing at. In the couple of areas I lived the average was around $9. 50 an hour in the hotel industry and in telemarketing.

Before you go into any interview do your research and find out what the job pays in that company or one similar. Above all be flexible and negogiate wisely.
