A radiologist is a certified medical physician (different from radiology tech). Radiologists can expect to make around 150-200k starting out but can jump to 300k after a few years. Factors include private vs. academics, location, work schedule, and amount of training/fellowship.

A radiologist is a physician who, after four years of medical school, undertook a five-year residency in the specialty area, which must include 6-12 months in nuclear medicine. The residency may be followed by a fellowship and work in a sub-specialty. Salary depends on the specialty, experience and location and can range from $280K-$550K.

Newbies can expect to make $30-40,000, however the sky is the limit here. Depending on the state, you can achieve between $200-400,000 and more, but this is after many years of education, internship, residency and private practice. Be aware, I am referring to radiologists, who are doctors, not radiology technicians, who make $12-28 per hour.
