Reglan is not used for milk production. It is used to treat heartburn and to speed the healing of ulcers and sores in the esophagus or people who have GERD. It is also used to treat symptoms of slow stomach emptying for people that have diabetes. These symptoms include nausea, vomiting,and heartburn.

The effects of the drug on average take about two weeks for results to show. Reglan must be taken at scheduled intervals to be more effective.

Reglan when taken in proper dosage of 30-45mg/day can show results within three days. Discontinue it within 10 days to two weeks as it may cause depression.
