Land turtles are low maintenance pets which live very long lives. Housing can be indoors or outdoors. You will need a soaking area, a warming area (warming light if no outdoors), a diet rich in fruits-vegetables-insects, and a safe place to call home. They are trainable and love affection.

Land turtles are very high maintenance. All reptiles are, really. If you can provide a large tank for it and ensure the right food and enviornment, they can be good pets. However, you must always clean it's area and always feed it.
