An African Box turtle is very easy to take care of. Give the turtle a clean pond or enclosure with a little under a foot of water and feed it commercial turtle food, rickets, small fish, and lettuce.

Box turtles should have a Tortoise Diet as a staple, but live earthworms, redworms and crickets should be fed regularly too. Choppe dark lettuce, kale, melons, berries, and cantaloupe should be included as well. Provide fresh water at all times in a large bowl about 1" deep. Much of their water consumption will be from the foods you feed.
