Go to a salon and get their professional opinion. Trying a bleach job at home may be a bad idea depending on the type of hair that you have; it might damage your hair or make it look ten times worse than it did before. You may not have to strip the color, you could redye with a darker color.

You can buy hair dye remover from a drugstore which removes all dyes. Alternatively (but only if desperate! ) you can bleach your hair and re-dye it.
