How do you replace a drive axle boot on a Ford Ranger?

To replace it with a one piece boot the axle will have to be removed. Otherwise buy a two piece boot and install it while it's still attached.

All you have to do, once you get the new one, is take the old one off and before you put the new one on you need to grease everything and put grease in the new boot otherwise it will ruin the new one in no time. Then just put the new boot on.

Well all you need to do is cut the old boot off and install a new two piece boot. It simply clamps on and is secured to the axle.

Remove old axle before putting new one on, grease everything down even in the new boot. Then put new boot on. All the above is important to follow so it want mess the boot up in a short period of time.

It depends what year ford ranger. There are different things to check on different models. But in general there are websites that give good instructions.
