How do you obtain your divorce records for free?

Isn't it public information?

Go to the court where the divorce was granted. Go to Records. You can request the file by name or by case number. You will be allowed to review the file and have copies made of some or all of it. The copying fee varies, but is minimal. You were given/mailed a copy of everything that's on file.

The file of all information, documents, hearings, orders, etc. is on file in at the court that granted the divorce. You can go to the records office and fill out a form using either the names of the two parties involved, or the case number, if you have that info. You can review the file and requests copies as needed.
