How do you fix a radiator cooling fan relay on a Jeep Cherokee?

There is no way to fix a cooling fan relay, it must be replaced. Using a haynes manual, locate the position of the sensor since they vary depending on year.

Most likely you'll need to replace the radiator fan entirely. typically when a relay on a fan goes out, it's out for good.

Locate the fuse/relay box under the hood near the battery. Locate the burnt out relay. Each relay and fuse should be labeled. Get a replacement relay from the auto parts store, and insert into the relay socket.

Usually you don't repair a relay, you replace it outright. It's found in the fuse box under the hood. Just unplug it and plug in a new one.

First make the battery is disconnected. Depending on the model year it is located behind the left headlamp or mounted to left quarter panel. Simple it out and replace it.

The relay is located behind the bumper below the right headlight. Just pull the old relay straight out. Replace it with the new relay.

Disconnect battery first. When a relay fan go out the whole thing is no good anymore and you'll have to buy you a brand new one to install. Purchase at auto part store and put new one in relay socket.

Well typically there is no way to repair a relay if it is bad. Some older style ones can be oped an cleaned however your probably is a sealed one. You best option is just to go to your local parts store and buy a replacement. It shouldn't be to expensive and you know it will keep working for awhile.

The fuse relay box should be under the hood close by the battery. Each relay will have a label on them. Repair the one that is damaged and replace it with a new one from auto part store and put in relay socket.
